Dove House Blues / CD-Review
Wieder einmal eine euphorische Review zu einer CD von Hermann Posch. Dove House Blues , ein gemeinsames Werk von ihm, Peter Müller und Stephan Rausch, wird hier äußerst positiv bewertet. Schade nur, daß die Formation als deutsche Band bezeichnet wird....

This German trio comprises of guitaristlvocalist Posch, harmonica player Rausch and drummer Muller. The music is mainly acoustic down home blues, a refreshing cnange from much of the recent rock blues deluge.
Posch's singing has an authentic mid-western growl that only occasionally reveals that English is not his first language. There are good and impressive covers of Tony Hollins' 'Crawling King Snake', Charles Brown's 'Drifting Blues', a couple of Luther Johnson Jr. songs and a cracking version of Muddy Waters' 'Feel Like Going Home', taken at a slower but effective tempo.
'Deep Ellum Blues', is also good and Posch contributes three of his own well-written contributions.
This is a pleasant, well-produced album, with some fine musicianship and it is clear that these artists have a deep love of the blues, they are worth watching out for.

Ein erfreulicher für mich keineswegs unerwarteter Erfolg, hatte ich doch schon seit Erscheinen der CD ausschließlich positives Feedback der diversen CD-Käufer gehört!
